Lessons from last week
Clarity is fleeting.
There are moments of intense realizations, I think they are called epiphanies —that we must grasp as soon as they occur. A minute too late and they no longer exist in this world.
Clarity is fleeting. It comes in waves. It strikes at unfamiliar times. Ideas take form, the world shapeshifts, and for a moment things become more defined… more beautiful. The glory of existing in a specific moment sheds light on even the mundane.
In moments like these I write frantically. I grab a piece of paper, I grab a pen, I open my laptop, or my phone or I call a friend —and I let these thoughts pour out of me. There is a storm of fire, warmth, enthusiasm that builds inside me. An obsession to define my world through these moments of clarity that seem God-given and not anything I could muster on my own.
What was revealed to me this week through these moments of clarity? It is already slipping, so I must write fast.
It was just this. Moments of passion exist inside all of us. They construct a desire inside each of us to say truths, to write things with ink, to conjure up beautiful images with paints, to speak of love in moments of fear.
These moments come from our soul rather than from our logical brain. Our brain overrides these vibrant emotions with thoughts —bleh. I am not a big fan of thoughts these days. I am a big fan of feelings, and emotions, and letting truths spill out of me.
I am a big fan of telling people I love them, that I appreciate them. That I’m so grateful we exist in the same moment in time, in the same era, sharing moments amidst the chaos.
I think this life must be lived as authentically and honestly as possible. When we write it should be messy. It should be like conversation. When we paint it should be outside of the lines as much as possible. When we love people we shouldn’t wait to tell them, who knows what tomorrow holds.
I am feeling more and more grateful for my life in these days. This is also a moment of clarity. I will bask in it like a cat basking on a shaggy carpet, in front of a window where the sunlight enters perfectly and rests on top of it.
For clarity is fleeting.

It's always been amazing, how girls can write so well! At school, I wrote well, revealed a given topic, but it was dry, concrete, mathematical, not comparable to the girls, who wrote a composition of several pages. Well, as for the topic of the article, I completely agree. I have to say, that I write a verses, not very often, of course, and inspiration is really important here. Something suddenly appears out of nowhere, and you have to seize it quickly, because it both suddenly appears and suddenly disappears. You need to catch this moment. We even have this expression:"Stay, moment, you are amazing!"(it seems to be from "Faust", but almost no one remembers it - such is the power of real art!) P.S. Thanks for the nice post, and, definitely, for this cute cat.
